When I’m not planning and delivering a wedding, I like to enjoy family time with my husband Mark and our 2 boys, we love nothing more than exploring Northumberland and donning our wellies for a long walk. Otherwise, you will find me in my kitchen, refining my culinary skills as I love to cook!

My career in hospitality began at the mere age of 16 when I started working back of house in a local hotel. From there my passion grew and ultimately landed me my dream job as a Wedding Co-ordinator! After meeting my now husband, I moved to Yorkshire, where I spent 10 years working in some amazing venues! We relocated to Northumberland as a family, and I was given the incredible opportunity to work at The Alnwick Gardens. I love meeting new people and coming up with unique, creative ideas and themes. The most rewarding thing about my job is helping couples craft the most special day of their lives. I still get a thrill every time I hear ‘I do’ or see a bride in her wedding dress for the first time.

When I’m not planning and delivering a wedding: I find solace and inspiration in my love for travel and relaxation. Exploring new destinations is my way of rejuvenating myself and my creativity. Whether it is unwinding on a beach, exploring bustling markets or immersing myself in the beauty of nature, travel is my escape. When the suitcase is unpacked you can find me cosy at home watching the newest rom-com on Netflix with a cup of tea.

My time as a Wedding Co-ordinator at The Alnwick Garden began in September 2023 after working across the whole of The Alnwick Gardens in the hospitality sector. This experience allowed me to understand what we, as a venue, can provide our wedding couples and our unique features. Now as a Wedding Co-ordinator, I love bringing our couple’s vision to life from placing the table settings to ensuring timings are on point. We create memories that last a lifetime – a perfect day, perfectly executed.

When I’m not planning and delivering a wedding, you’ll find me on a long countryside walk with my puppy, out for a nice dinner or watching a cheesy Netflix series for the 7th time. If it’s a Sunday I won’t be making plans, as I will be in front of the TV with my family watching the Formula 1 race.

My career in hospitality began working in hotels as a Meeting and Events Host. Throughout the next few years, I worked my way up to be a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager and gained a lot of responsibility running weddings and events. I fell in love with the weddings side of hospitality, and decided I wanted to make it into my career, so I became a Wedding Coordinator. The job is rewarding and exciting, especially seeing the planning process come together on the wedding day. There’s no better place to do it than the beautiful Alnwick Garden.
