Earth and Essence Yoga & Wellness Festival

The Earth and Essence Yoga & Wellness Festival is a two-day celebration of wellbeing, movement, creativity, and community. Over the weekend, guests can enjoy a rich programme of experiences including yoga, Pilates, sound baths, inspiring talks, creative workshops, and more. The festival also features a vibrant marketplace, live performances, delicious food, and unique shopping opportunities — all set within the stunning surroundings of The Alnwick Garden.

 

Yoga & Movement Classes

Each day offers a full schedule of over 30 classes per day , suitable for all levels* and led by an exceptional lineup of instructors from across the UK. With five different indoor areas to practise, guests can explore a wide variety of classes and talks at their own pace, including:

Vinyasa yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Rocket Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yogalates, Somanic yoga, Kundalini yoga, Hot Yoga, Pilates, Breathwork (pranayama), Meditation and Mindfulness, and Sound Journeys.

*classes are available for those with limited mobility. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.

All classes are included in the ticket price, and guests are free to move between sessions throughout the day.

Take part in inspirational talks and live podcast-style sessions covering wellbeing, resilience, lifestyle, mental health, nutrition, personal growth, and more — designed to educate, uplift, and empower.

Community & Experience

Your ticket includes full access to The Alnwick Garden during the festival. Wander through beautiful outdoor spaces, enjoy relaxation zones and social areas, and capture plenty of fun photo moments. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is designed to foster connection, community, and a sense of shared experience.

    Served with a local handmade mini stottie
  • Jacket Potato (v)
    British potato rubbed with sea salt and rapeseed oil, served with a fresh salad garnish

  • Tickets

    Do I need to buy tickets in advance? Yes. Advance booking is recommended as capacity is limited. A small number of tickets may be available on the day .

    Are tickets for one day or the full weekend? You can choose either a single-day ticket or a weekend pass offering full access to both days.

    Whats’s included? General entry includes access to The Alnwick Garden, all classes, workshops and talks. No separate pre-booking required

    Are tickets refundable? Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.

  • Getting Here

    Is there parking at The Alnwick Garden? Yes. Car parking is available. Standard parking fees apply.
    Parking is £3.50 per car, (If using sat nav please follow NE66 1FJ or you can use “What Three Words” ///package.oasis.retaliate). There is also a Priority car park next to The Treehouse for Blue Badge Holders. 

    Is there public transport? Yes. Regular buses run to Alnwick from Newcastle and surrounding areas. The nearest bus stop is a short walk from The Alnwick Garden.

    Is there a train station in Alnwick? No. The nearest train station is Alnmouth train station.

    Is there a taxi drop-off point? Yes. Taxis and ride-share services can drop off directly at the main entrance.

  • Accessibility

    Is the event wheelchair-accessible? Yes. The Alnwick Garden offers accessible entrances, paths, and toilet facilities. Most festival areas can be accessed by wheelchair or those with mobility aids.

    Can I bring a carer or support person? Yes. Essential companions may attend free of charge with proof of eligibility. Please contact us to arrange a companion ticket.

    Is accessible parking available? Yes. Designated disabled parking bays are located close to the main entrance.

  • Indoor / Outdoor Info

    Is the festival indoors? The festival is primarily indoors, with some optional sessions located outdoors or in covered spaces. Please dress warmly and comfortably.

    Will sessions go ahead in bad weather? Yes. All indoor sessions will run as scheduled regardless of weather.

     

     

  • What to bring

    Do I need my own yoga mat? We recommend bringing your own mat.

    What should I wear? Comfortable, layered clothing suitable for movement and stillness. We would also recommend you bring a warm blanket for the meditation and sound baths.

    Can I bring my own water bottle and snacks? Yes. we encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle and you can bring some light snacks (our café and some food stalls will be open).

  • Food & Drink

    Will food be available? The Alnwick Garden café and selected wellness-friendly food stalls will be open on site throughout the festival.

    Can I bring my own food? You are welcome to bring your own water and light snacks.

    Is there a Water Point? Yes, we encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle.

  • General Information

    What time does the festival start and finish each day? Saturday 10 am– 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. A full timetable and session schedule will be released closer to the event.

    Is the festival suitable for beginners? Absolutely — all levels are welcome, including complete beginners and those with reduced mobility.

  • Can you bring dogs?

    For the safety of all our visitors, only assistance dogs are allowed into The Alnwick Garden.

    All recognised guide, assistance, or service dogs – including assistance dogs in training are welcome into The Alnwick Garden. We ask that they are recognisable, with a lead or harness that identifies them as working.

  • Do you offer Blue Light/NHS Discount?

    We don’t offer Blue Light/NHS Discount to this event. 

  • Refunds

    Tickets are strictly non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.

  • Will their be a photographer at the event?

     Yes! Our volunteer photographer, Jane Coltman, will be present at the event. If you do not wish to be photographed, please just let Jane know on the day and she will be more than happy to assist.

  • Children and minimum age

    This event is for people aged 16 and over.
