We are a Garden for everyone.

The brainchild of The Duchess of Northumberland, The Alnwick Garden is a multi-award winning visitor attraction based in Alnwick, Northumberland.

Our 12 acres of meandering and magnificent Gardens are home to the world’s largest Tai Haku Cherry Orchard, a Grand Cascade comprising 120 water jets and the worlds largest Treehouse Restaurant.

We are a place where everyone is welcome.

Families and children can run freely throughout The Garden playing on our mini diggers and interacting with our daily Summer street theatre programme.

At other times of the year, The Garden is a peacful and tranquil haven to spend hour after hour wandering amongst the Roses, the Ornamental Garden and the Cherry Blossom or just kicking back to take it all in on one of our 50 swinging benches.

If you are looking for a unique dining experience, why not dine in our magnificent Treehouse Restaurant?  Or for a lighter bite then you can visit the Potting Shed, The Bakery or The Pavilion Cafe.

And above all we are a charity.

Any surplus from running the Garden is re-invested into improving and developing The Alnwick Garden for the future through one of our charity programmes, helping people in and around Northumberland from a variety of social backgrounds. Find out more by clicking here

We are your garden.

“The Alnwick Garden gives pleasure in so many ways to so many people from all walks of life.

It has become a contemporary pleasure garden, which brings joy to millions. When I see photographs of it in darkness I feel that I’m watching it sleep, resting in preparation for the people it has to entertain the following day.

To me, a garden without people is dead and people have brought The Alnwick Garden to life and restored its soul.”

The Duchess of Northumberland.

Please join us in a minutes silence at 3pm on Saturday 17th April in memory of Prince Philip.
