Young Gardeners

Our Young Gardeners programme works with young people with learning differences and specific needs to provide them with an inclusive garden-based learning experience, with tuition from a fully qualified and experienced gardener.

The Young Gardeners programme has 10 plots, including a number of raised beds for each young person to take ownership of during the growing season, along with their families and our lead gardener, to sow seeds and plant crops.

Each family will acquire the skills to grow their own vegetables in a fully inclusive environment, supported with opportunities to learn and develop.

With monthly sessions from February through to September, it gives families the opportunity to flourish and learn everything they need to be able to take their new skills back home and begin their own garden adventure.
Young people gain a huge sense of achievement, as they see their vegetables grow at each visit.
