A Remarkable Place, Transforming Lives
The Alnwick Garden is one of the North East’s most loved visitor attractions and an independent charity. Every time you visit our vast 67 acre site, you help us bring people, nature and imagination together to create meaningful and lasting social impact.
From the iconic Grand Cascade and Poison Garden to Lilidorei, the Cherry Blossom Orchard, The Alnwick Garden offers unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages. Yet beyond The Garden, and attractions lies a deeper purpose.
As a charity, we use the income generated through our visitors, fundraising, grants and activities to care for this unique place and deliver programmes that support people across our communities. Through nature, creativity and connection, we work to reduce social isolation, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for those who need them most.
Our charitable work focuses on helping children and young people build confidence, make positive life choices and develop skills for the future. We also support older people to build social connections and reduce loneliness, while helping community organisations create welcoming outdoor spaces that inspire wellbeing and belonging.
By visiting The Alnwick Garden, you’re doing more than enjoying a great day out. You’re helping to nurture a remarkable garden, support local communities and create opportunities that change lives.
