Walk and Talk

Every Friday 10:00am – 12:00pm, meet outside the Elderberries Room.
No booking required. Donations for refreshments welcome.

Walking helps maintain a healthy weight, improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones and muscles, and improves muscular endurance. It can also help prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes. Combine this with a social chat with friends old and new, and it makes for a great morning.

In order to accommodate numbers and various abilities, we have two groups; Yompers who walk at a faster pace, and Strollers who walk at a more steady pace usually on flatter areas. Both groups run regardless of the weather, so please dress appropriately.

The Elderberries Programmes aim is to reach the local community and to enrich the lives of everyone over the age of 55 who attend.
