Elderberries Drop In

Every Thursday, Friday and Sunday

The Drop-in is volunteer-led and provides a warm and welcoming space for Elderberries to connect with others, reducing social isolation and nurturing friendships for those over 55.

Located in the Stuart Halbert Room at The Alnwick Garden and is open every Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 11am-3pm for you to drop in and meet other people to play cards, listen to music or join in with dominoes, jigsaws and more. This is free and includes tea/coffee/juice and tasty scones and cake.

You do not need to be a member of the Garden or pay to get into The Garden.

Please come and join us and meet your new friends.

This initiative, developed by The Duchess of Northumberland was triggered by a desire to help combat loneliness in older people.
It
was generously funded by The Stuart Halbert Foundation, The Rank Foundation and Sir John and Lady Hall.

The Elderberries Programmes aim is to reach the local community and to enrich the lives of everyone over the age of 55 who attend.
