Your valued support will help towards both community and capital projects, and you will be an important part of The Garden’s family as you enjoy it through the seasons and the years. Much of The Garden’s programme is free, so as a Friend you can enjoy tours, workshops and performances all year round. Friends can bring up to 4 children per adult for free when you visit. Many family activities are programmed throughout the school holidays, which means you can also open up a world of creativity and activity to the children you know.

Below are the benefits you can expect as a Friend of The Alnwick Garden.

Friend of The Alnwick Garden membership

As well as receiving unlimited access to The Garden for a year during opening hours, Friends are also entitled to:

  • Free parking and 4 free children per visiting member
  • 10% discount in the Pavilion Kitchen and Bakery
  • 10% discount in the Garden Gift Shop and Plant Centre (T&Cs not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, and is not applicable on alcoholic drinks, fresh produce such as cheese and sausages, and local artist concessions)
  • Advanced booking for events such as Halloween Scare Garden and Father Christmas 

(All discounts are subject to availability)

Please note that although your membership is valid for 12 months, we are closed on Christmas Day and the whole of January. There are also occasions when The Garden and Treehouse close early, (the Treehouse at times may also close all day for private functions). Please check the website before your visit to avoid disappointment.

Friends Magazines

As a Friend of The Alnwick Garden, you will receive an electronic bi-annual issue of our fantastic and informative Friends Magazine.  If you are not currently receiving this then please get in touch with your email address and we will ensure that you don’t miss out!

Please note that outside of  Northumberland school holidays we will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays as of 1st November 2021 – 31st March 2022 (with the exception of evenings during the light trail - please see Christmas page for further details)
