Sarah & Mark Taylor

Based in Newcastle and Gateshead, Sarah is a yoga teacher who balances her practice with a part-time office job and life as a mother of two. She began yoga for flexibility but quickly discovered its mental benefits, helping her become calmer, more present, and less reactive.

She believes wellness is about doing what makes you feel good and is passionate about sharing this approach with others. Her sessions focus on practical strategies for staying mobile, energised, and centred during the workday, making them ideal for office and corporate environments. Participants learn simple, accessible techniques to recharge both body and mind, helping them feel their best on and off the mat.

Rachael Skews

Rachael helps people understand how they think, why they get stuck, and how to create environments for lasting change using behavioural science. By exploring personal values, goals, and psychological dynamics, they empower participants to try new approaches and make decisions aligned with what matters most.

In this session, Rachael introduce principles of mindfulness, psychological flexibility, and self-compassion, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Participants will learn practical steps to foster a kinder, more compassionate relationship with themselves and their bodies, develop values-aligned approaches to wellness, and access follow-up resources for continued practice.

The session focuses on helping attendees cultivate mindful embodiment, overcome self-criticism, and strengthen skills that support wellbeing and performance in daily life.

Marta Jackson

Marta Jackson is a qualified Yoga Teacher, Somatic Coach, and founder of Freedõm of Movement Yoga (FõM Yoga). She recently authored a book on how yoga supported her recovery from eating disorders, and in her talk she shares insights from her journey, her book, and her perspective on healing the relationship with the body.

FõM Yoga is an integrative wellness practice blending Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda with modern approaches such as Somatic Experiencing and mindfulness. Rather than focusing on external alignment or achieving specific shapes, the practice emphasises interoception, the body’s internal felt sense, and the belief that healing comes from listening to the body and gently releasing stored tension and trauma within the nervous system.

Classes use slow, intuitive movement, breathwork, and the principle of “Sensation over Shape” to support nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and reconnection with natural rhythms, often incorporating Ayurvedic elemental principles.

Rachel Rafiefar

Rachel brings over three decades of movement practice and teaching experience. Her yoga journey began in her twenties, and following a horse riding accident and a car accident in the same year, she developed a more compassionate and therapeutic approach to both her personal practice and her teaching.

After thirty years of teaching Pilates, where she achieved Master Pilates Teacher status, she returned to yoga with renewed insight. Her training includes 200 hours in Hatha Yoga, 200 hours in Zen Yoga, and in-depth study of Daoist meditation, exploring the connections between Indian, Chinese, and Japanese health systems and philosophy. Most recently, she completed a 200 hour Vinyasa Kramer course in India.

Her teaching philosophy encourages students to understand how their bodies work and to explore their own potential with awareness and care. Blending the precision of Pilates with the flow of yoga, and informed by biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and energy work, she supports a kinder relationship with the body that balances challenge with healing, and effort with ease.
