Christmas 2026 FAQ’s

Winter Lights

  • What does a Winter Light Trail Ticket include?
  • Your Winter Light Trail ticket includes entry to both The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei.

When booking, you will choose a timed entry slot for the Winter Light Trail. The time shown on your ticket is your arrival time for the Light Trail.

Please note: The 15-minute time window is your arrival window only. Once you are on the Winter Light Trail, there is no set time limit and you can take as long as you like to enjoy the trail.

Lilidorei does not have a separate timed slot. You can visit Lilidorei anytime between 4:30pm and 9:00pm.

Please note: If your Winter Light Trail is a later time slot, you may not have enough time to visit Lilidorei afterwards, so we recommend visiting Lilidorei before your Winter Light Trail.

  • Can I move my booking?
  • Flexi Tickets:

With a Flexi Ticket, you can reschedule your visit up to three times. You may reschedule your visit to a date within 90 days of your original booking, subject to availability.

Please note, requests to rearrange your booking must be made before the start time of your booked session. We can only rearrange the full booking, not individual tickets purchased as part of a wider booking.

If the new date has a higher ticket price, you will need to pay the difference in price.

    Standard Tickets:

Standard Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled or transferred.

Please note – Father Christmas bookings:

Father Christmas tickets are non-refundable. If you have purchased Flexi tickets for the accompanying adults, for example a Flexi Winter Light Trail ticket, we may be able to move your Father Christmas visit in line with the Flexi booking, subject to availability.

If the accompanying adults have purchased Standard Tickets, these are non-transferable. Please contact our Bookings Team, who can look into your booking further.
