Join us in marking The Alnwick Garden’s 25th anniversary and secure your place on our brand new ‘Welcome Way’, by sponsoring a personalised paving block. Whether you’re celebrating a special milestone, honouring a loved one, recognising your  organisation, or simply demonstrating your commitment to The Garden, your contribution will become a lasting part of our story.

We’re offering the opportunity to secure your personalised paving block from a limited number of 3,000, which will make up the unique pathway between the main entrance of The Alnwick Garden and The Gift Shop, welcoming over 500,000 visitors every year.

Every block laid helps pave the way for tomorrow’s, learners, families and communities.

What do I get?

– One personalised engraved paving block located within Welcome Way, at the entrance to The Alnwick Garden.

– The opportunity to include a name, dedication, message or organisation name, subject to approval by The Alnwick Garden.

– An official ‘Welcome Way’ Sponsorship Certificate acknowledging your support.

– An invitation for up to four guests to attend the official unveiling and launch event for Welcome Way.

– Recognition as a supporter of The Alnwick Garden’s 25th Anniversary celebrations.

– Sponsorship of the paving stone for an initial period of two years from the date of installation.

– Priority renewal rights at the end of the two year sponsorship period before the opportunity is offered to others.

How does it work?

Choose your paving block sponsorship by clicking the link below and completing the online form.

Personalise your paving block by providing your details and the inscription you would like to appear on it.

We’ll take care of the rest. Once your application has been processed, we’ll be in touch to confirm when your paving block will be installed as part of the Welcome Way and to invite you to the official unveiling event.

Receive your sponsorship certificate. You’ll be sent a digital certificate to commemorate your sponsorship, with the option to request a printed copy by post.

Terms and Conditions

  • Message Approval
    The Alnwick Garden reserves the right to approve, decline or request amendments to any wording submitted for engraving. Messages deemed inappropriate, offensive, political, discriminatory, commercial advertising, or otherwise inconsistent with the values of The Alnwick Garden will not be accepted.
  • Sponsorship Period
    Sponsorship will remain active for a period of two years from the date of installation. Prior to the end of the sponsorship term, sponsors will be contacted and given first opportunity to renew their sponsorship.
  • Installation
    The Alnwick Garden will make every effort to install paving stones within a reasonable timeframe, with the initial batch of 500 being laid by October 2026. Installation dates may vary depending
    on production schedules, weather conditions and operational requirements.

 

 

  • Sponsorship Contributions
    Sponsorship contributions support The Alnwick Garden’s charitable objectives and help pave the way for future generations to enjoy, learn from and be inspired by The Garden.
  • General
    The Alnwick Garden reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions where necessary.
    Any significant changes will be communicated to sponsors. By participating in the sponsorship of Welcome Way, sponsors agree to these terms and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where will my paving block be located?

  • The paving blocks will be allocated in numerical order, with number 1 being at the main entrance to The Garden. See map below.

  • Can I choose its location?

  • We’re not able to offer the ability to choose your paving block’s location, sponsors will be allocated
    their blocks in order of sign up from 1 – 1,500

  • How long will it remain in place?

  • Your paving block will remain in place for a two-year period starting on the day it is laid as part
    of ‘Welcome Way’

  • Can I renew?

  • Yes, you will be contacted at least one month before your paving stone sponsorship is due for
    renewal and will get first refusal to renew the sponsorship.

  • What happens if I don’t renew?

  • The paving block sponsorship is offered to other individuals wishing to take part in ‘Welcome Way’

  • What if my paving block becomes damaged?

  • We will send your paving block away to be fixed and re-engraved with your personalisation free
    of charge.

  • Can I buy one as a gift?

  • Yes, you can buy one as a gift, simply add the details of the personalised message and we can
    send you all the formal confirmations.

  • Can I sponsor more than one?

  • Yes, you can sponsor as many paving blocks as you like

  • Are memorial dedications permitted?

  • Yes, memorial dedications are permitted.

  • Is my contribution refundable?

  • Paving block sponsorships are non-refundable. You have up to 14 days from sign up to amend/
    add to your personalised message should you wish.
