Important facts about Sunflowers

Sunflowers like lots of direct sunlight

Sunflowers like to be planted in compost in their pots

Sunflowers don’t like to be planted too close to their friends

Sunflowers don’t like too much shade or frost

Growing your Sunflowers

  1. Find a pot about the size of a tin of beans 
  2. Fill your pot almost to the top with good soil or compost 
  3. Push one seed into the compost with your finger or a small stick 
  4. Water a little, then keep watering only when the compost gets dry 
  5. Place in the sunniest place you can inside e.g. a windowsill 
  6. Watch your sunflower grow!
