This is an exciting time in The Alnwick Garden, with a packed programme for the whole family. In February we take our inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, with special characters, riddles, tea parties and dancing. March is Earth and Science month. Get up close to exotic animals, join in gardening workshops and meet real scientists from our leading universities and industry. There’ll be classic family fun for Easter weekend, and in April we’ll also be celebrating spring flowers with the tulip festival from 10th - 15th April. The blossom of the Taihaku trees in the Cherry Orchard follows soon after, with the Cherry Blossom Festival on the 24th and 25th April. .
Here’s a flavour of the family programme at other times of the year…
Autumn and winter
A month of book and story-inspired activitiy in October, a fantastic day of spooky family activities for Halloween, and a wonderfully magical Christmas programme with lantern parades, trails and Father Christmas.
Spring
A special weekend of classic family fun for Easter, and lots of activities for the school holidays and bank holiday weekends.
