The Alnwick Garden, in Northumberland offers a truly unique setting for your wedding day, with beautiful gardens, cascading water and extraordinary landscapes providing a breathtaking backdrop for your ceremony, celebration and photographs, whatever the season.

At the heart of The Garden is The Grand Cascade, a magnificent tumbling mass of water surrounded by Hornbeam Arbours, guiding you towards the geometric Ornamental Garden. The fragrant Rose Garden, mysterious Bamboo Labyrinth, water-sculpted Serpent Garden, the locked gates of The Poison Garden and the world’s largest Tree create an enchanting landscape, offering beautiful and memorable settings to make your special day truly magical.

The Garden & Pavilion

The Garden is a beautifully unique setting for your wedding Day and The Pavilion offers a contemporary venue with floor-to-ceiling glass filling the space with natural light and breathtaking views across the Grand Cascade.

The Pavilion can cater for up to 150 guests for an indoor ceremony and wedding breakfast or an outdoor ceremony beneath the Hornbeam Arbour cater for up to 70 guests. Evening receptions can cater for up to 200 people. An alfresco drinks reception can be enjoyed on our East Terrace alongside additional space in the Atrium and wedding parties have exclusive use of The Garden in the evening.

Treehouse Weddings

The Treehouse at The Alnwick Garden is the largest treehouse in the world, 13 metres above ground, built around 16 mature lime trees, with decking under a canopy of trees with surrounding woodland views. The quirky rustic interior of twisting branches, fairy lights and a roaring log fire sets the Treehouse apart from other wedding venues within the North East of England and further afield.

The Treehouse offers exclusive hire of 3 function rooms (2 intimate) and can host up to 65 guests for an inside ceremony, 85 guests for an outdoor ceremony (weather depending), and up to 120 guests for an evening reception.

Food & Drink

Enjoy beautifully crafted food, prepared by our first-class chefs using locally sourced produce, complemented by hand-selected wines and cocktails and served by our attentive waiting team. From canapés and your wedding breakfast to evening buffets, every detail is thoughtfully considered.
