The Treehouse

The largest wooden treehouse in the world

Just outside of The Garden’s perimeter wall is the largest wooden treehouse in the world, winner of the Newcastle Journal Landmark Retail and Leisure Award 2005 and the Local Authority Building Control 2007 Award for innovatory disability access.

Built around 16 mature lime trees, which grow through and into the building The Treehouse is a combination of Siberian larch, Scandinavian redwood, Canadian ceder and Scots and English pine, all from sustainable sources.

2024-25 Social Impact Report

We are delighted to share this year’s Social Impact report, which proudly highlights the impact The Alnwick Garden Trust has made in our community over 2024/25. The Trust is truly unique, not only providing a destination for a great day out, but also as the home of life changing programmes that support those most in need.
