Visiting the area

Northumberland is far from the hustle of everyday life, and yet is packed with places to see and things to do. The landscape is truly spectacular, with deserted golden beaches, two Areas of Outstanding National Beauty and the Northumberland National Park.

There are wonderful castles, many different gardens, the Holy Island of Lindesfarne, the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall, and much more. The local food and drink is fantastic, as are the locals people. Visit www.visitnorthumberland.com for more information, and to find places to stay.
