The Alnwick Garden

The Pavilion and Visitor Centre

The archway into The Garden leads across the terrace of The Pavilion, opening up to the view of the Grand Cascade. This sheltered terrace twinkles with tiny lights in the paving, and there are tables and chairs for coffee with a view. The Pavilion Café serves great coffee and cakes, an ever-changing lunch menu and afternoon tea. Click here to find out more.

The Sir Michael Hopkins designed buildings are contemporary and light, designed to be transparent and to merge indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Pavilion Room, with a view of the Grand Cascade and opening onto a private terrace, is a lovely place for private dinners, conferences, meetings, parties and even weddings. Click here for more details.

The Alnwick Garden Trust, the charity that owns The Garden, is fundraising f or The Pavilion Room’s next phase of development; a private garden. If you can help, click here.

Outside The Garden’s walls, The Visitor Centre surrounds a busy courtyard. There’s The Garden’s fantastic shop, with plants, gardening goods, gifts and local produce, and the information centre. There’s also the Courtyard Room, featuring exhibitions and also available for private hire.  The Education Room, with it’s own garden, is home to many creative workshops and activities, and is a great resource for visiting schools.
