The Alnwick Garden

Getting Involved

The Alnwick Garden is a lively and working garden, welcoming more than half a million people every year. As well as creating an exciting new garden to share with local communities and the world, The Garden offers learning programmes, volunteering and many community activities.

There are many ways to get involved, and be part of history in the making.

Visit the Know and Grow pages of www.alnwickgarden.com to take part in the Over The Garden Fence forum.

Volunteers

The Garden is lucky enough to have a generous and committed volunteer task force, and they have been fundamental to the success of the project. The Garden simply wouldn’t have got this far without them. There’s still so much to do, and we’re always delighted to hear from new volunteers. Whether you’re interested in gardening, guiding or administration, are looking to meet new people, get outdoors or get some work experience, we’d love to hear from you. Call 01665 511350 to find out more or sign up now. Download a form here.

Community

If you represent a community organisation, you may be eligible for the community scheme; a scheme which enables affordable entry. Click here to find out more. You may also like to take part in a community project or activity; there’s always plenty going on, in gardening and the arts as well as more informal social occasions. Call Amy Hale on 01665 511350 to find out more.

Friends

Friends of The Alnwick Garden are much more than the holders of annual passes; they’re part of the family. Friends have supported The Alnwick Garden project from the days when the landscape was little more than mud and a huge gaping hole where the Grand Cascade was to be. As a Friend, you make an annual donation to The Alnwick Garden Trust, and in return you receive unlimited entry, exclusive news and lots of free events.

Donors

The Alnwick Garden Trust is the charity that owns The Alnwick Garden, and The Trust fundraises for both community projects and capital projects. As well as welcoming donations, The Trust makes appeals for support. Right now, you could sponsor a cherry tree or a bed of flowers.
