Local Taxis Work With The Alnwick Garden to Improve Access

Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden are delighted to be working in partnership with Knights Taxis.

As part of the sales strategy this season, the sales and marketing team have been working hard to initiate and develop relationships with tourism partners in the local area including transport and accommodation providers.

Knights Taxis learnt about the new opportunity to sell tickets directly to their customers while attending an open day for local tourism partners held at the Castle and Garden.  They now offer fast-track tickets to both attractions for all customers traveling from Alnmouth rail station, a major calling point on the East Coast Mainline.   Amy Wallkington-Gray Admissions Sales Manager said "we are delighted to be working in partnership with Knights Taxis; our partners act as ambassadors for Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden and ensure that our visitors have the opportunity to purchase their tickets from numerous outlets".
John Davison, owner of Knights Taxis said “We formed Knights to provide a reliable and comfortable taxi service to the residents of Alnwick and also the many visitors. Alnwick’s popularity as a destination is always increasing and working with Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden we aim to make the town more attractive to those choosing public transport. We’re only 30 minutes away from Newcastle by train and continuing your journey by taxi to Alnwick with the fast track tickets in your hand bypasses any queues so you can enjoy more time in the attractions or exploring the town”. Knights taxis have a presence at the station to meet all trains daily and with two fully accessible seven seater cars they are able to provide transport for large families, disabled users and cyclists with their bikes. For more information about the service Knights Taxis provide call them on 01665 714555.
