Make a lasting gift by learning how to pot up herbs in the Roots and Shoots garden, and use herbs from The Garden to create a botanical bath bomb. Drop in 11am – 3.30pm

Teacher’s Treat Weekend Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March 2009 Registration between 10am – 2pm, The Garden is open until 4pm All teachers, school and nursery staff and trainee teachers are invited to The Alnwick Garden for a free family visit on Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th March. Come along to The Garden and enjoy the Family Fun Science Weekend. There will be a chance for you to meet scientists from Sanofi Aventis who are passionate about the world of science and how it impacts on our everyday lives. Be amazed by the Institute of Physics. See the stars with a visit to the mobile planetarium from SETPOINT, and get up close to animals in Bringing the Zoo to You; a fun and educational show from Animal Encounters. Fire rockets with the Centre for Life and meet Go Green the people who can help you reach the targets for sustainable schools. See science at work in the Serpent Garden’s beautiful and fascinating water sculptures by William Pye, get lost in the Labyrinth, bounce on our wobbly bridges and take a tour of the intriguing Poison Garden. You’ll also have the chance to find out more about opportunities for fun, learning and adventure at The Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle for schools.
